Developed a website (canireheat.com) that provided information on how to store and reheat food products. I got annoyed I kept having to go to ad-ridden sites just to find out if I could reheat last night's leftovers. The website was designed to be simple and easy to use. It had autocomplete search bar, had a nutrition-table based design and was ready to integrate safety/community ratings. Need to revisit.
An aid to gamble but never lose. Sounds too good to be true doesn't it? Well, in practice it was. The times it came up with results I could count on one hand, but it did have some results. It would subscribe to odd collating services, analyze said odds and spit out to the user matches that they ought to bet on. It had a fully functional account system, email notification system and usability features such as quick links to a match's bookmakers.
Prototyped a tech help site providing solutions for common tech issues that elderly people face in a simple, easy to understand and patient manner. With the speed of technology in lifetimes changing so fast the elderly are often left behind in the tech world. I wrote a simple site, glorified blog, to help them setup their new phone, set the wallpaper or whatsApp call their grandson. The grand idea was to have the app come pre-installed or installed by friends onto elderly people's devices.
